Holiday Shopping - Buy Handmade
I've been working hard over the last couple of days to fill my Etsy shop with stuff for the holidays. If you know anyone who's interested in Krakens, octopus, kaiju, astronauts, mechanical hearts, and robots, then I sure have a place for them.
I'm going to adding more stuff once I get back from Thanksgiving, but I wanted people who knew me to get a jumpstart on the items before they get listed, just in case there was something specific that you wanted.
Custom Felt Robots
I've found that lots of people love the little felt robots, but usually want one in a different color or some other slight alteration. SO, for a minimal fee ($10) I'm making custom felt robots at the usual size of 2"x3"
Choose the color, expression, and what's on it's tummy! I can also put string on them (for ornaments) or leave them unstuffed (for finger puppets).

Bat Tank T-shirts
Oh yeah! The Bat Tank shirts are in, and I've made a convenient chart denoting all the 16 different colors that the shirt is available in. I ordered these to sell online and at SPX, so if you want one, you get first pick before I pack off to Maryland next week.
One day, we'll actually have a functioning storefront on Willrad.com but for now, we'll do this the old fashioned way:
If you would like a t-shirt, follow these steps:
1) Email me ( [ the letter EL ]woods-at-willrad-dot-com ) your t-shirt size, top two color preference, and address
2) I will return your email confirming the details
3) Paypal $16.50 to me ($16.50 covers US shipping* - also Paypal takes credit cards now)
4) RECEIVE AWESOME T-SHIRT IN THE MAIL
*Note: If you're local or not in the US, your price will be different - the shirt itself is $15
Sizes Available:
Youth Large, Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large
Choose your color:
Dark colors have the design in white ink, light colors have the design in black ink.
Note: If you're lamenting the lack of girly sizes, that is because I'm getting babydoll t-shirts printed up with a different design on them (hopefully sometime next week), so do not fear! I haven't forgotten you! (or myself)

Paintings and Art Stuff
I, Too, Dreamt of Pie
I am trying to throw myself directly into getting ready for DragonCon and SPX (mostly SPX, since DragonCon is pretty much already planned) - but I want to finish up the paintings I've been working on.
Paintings are difficult to finish and sell, because they're not like prints - with prints you can create an edition of 20, but with paintings there's only the ONE. This is why I ended up as a printmaking major. I am building up my new ability to become unattached to the paintings (or at least feel less attached).
Panda Ko Panda
Oh, I also made this Panda Ko Panda painting specifically to sell so we can purchase the Azumanga Daioh DVDs. The design is based on the Azumanga cat character of the same style, Neko Koneko. Then I found out, that the Neko Koneko was character was based on a lazy panda.
So here we've come a weird full-circle step farther, with a panda character based on a cat character based on a panda character. I'm probably going to put the Panda Ko Panda painting on etsy.com, unless there's a better place to tap into the anime / panda fan market for painting sales.
I'm doing some freelance designs too - honey labels for a local beekeeper, and some web design for a programmer who liked "Ninjas in the Breakroom".

Moving On-ish
It's been three weeks since I quit my job (I wonder how long I'll measure time like that) and so far it's been... busy.
INFLATABLES
I've discovered boxes in our house that haven't been unpacked yet (over a year since we moved in now). I'm not sure what's in them, but it's probably not important. I've also discovered that we have a entire box of inflatable things. Fish, octopus, Spiderman, Gumby - the list goes on. What on earth should I do with them?
UPCOMING
I have an art show coming up.
Show Title: Lie Still, Little Bottle
March 2 - 31, 2007 at Kulture in Raleigh, NC
(Opening Reception - Friday 3/2)
Lie Still, Little Bottle is a series of six woodcuts I carved and printed about six years ago. The series has never been shown before. The prints are a sequential narrative based on the They Might Be Giants song of the same title. All of the woodcuts are done in black ink, 8 inches by 11 inches.
I'll probably re-post the details here and to the regional groups once it's closer to showtime.
See you on opening night!
