My mom got the package I sent her last week, including this early Mother's Day present - a poppy brooch!I've seen this design somewhere, and I really loved the idea of using thread and beads for the stamens (I hope that's the right word). Though technically, I think my mom would have enjoyed it more if I'd made with a spring green, it's hard to break out of my black, white, and red habits.
This is all hand-sewn felt, with a pin-back sewn to the back to make it a lovely brooch.
